A service evaluation of domiciliary medical emergency equipment and domiciliary medical risk assessment in the West Midlands, UK

Abstract
Introduction: Domiciliary dentistry is a valuable service offering dental care to a range of people with difficulties
accessing routine care. Current guidelines all emphasise the importance of appropriate safety measures required
for safe domiciliary dental care.
Aim: To gain insight into current practice of domiciliary dental care across the West Midlands, particularly the
completion of risk assessments and availability of medical emergency equipment for domiciliary visits.
Method: Questionnaires issued to providers of domiciliary dental care who attended the West Midlands domiciliary
special interest group on 26/02/2019.
