Oral health status and dental treatment for children with learning disabilities in southern Turkey

Aim and Objective: Physical disability, low intelligence quotient, and developmental disorders, when combined with limitations in access to health services, result in elevated complications related to oral health for children with
disabilities. The aims of this study were; i) to determine the oral health status of children with disabilities, ii) to
assess the knowledge of parents regarding oral health care, and iii) to provide training for the parents on oral health
care and to complete necessary follow-up treatment.
