Dental care under general anaesthesia: a multidisciplinary approach

Abstract
This paper describes the management of a 20-year-old with a mild learning disability, significant cardiac disease,
dental anxiety, and autism who required the extraction of high risk impacted wisdom teeth (third molars). The
report describes the steps involved in organising care and the outcome. The role of the special care team in
coordinating care is emphasised.
