Effectiveness of Oral Hygiene appointments for patients with Intellectual Disability

Abstract
Background: People with intellectual disability (ID) tend to have inadequate oral hygiene, resulting in oral health of
poorer quality than those without this condition.
Aim: To assess longitudinally the oral status in ID individuals, regarding frequency of oral hygiene appointments
and its influence in tooth loss and oral health indexes.
