Challenges associated with providing specialist dental services for individuals with special health care needs in Australia

Abstract
Aims and objectives: Individuals with special needs continue to experience poorer oral health and difficulties with accessing dental care, despite dental specialties, such as special needs dentistry, and dedicated clinics having been established to help address these unmet needs. The objective of this study was to identify challenges associated with providing specialist dental services to these patients.
