Service evaluation of dental general anaesthetic for cleft children

Abstract
Children with cleft lip and/or palate (CLP) have high dental needs and increased levels of dental anxiety, resulting in large numbers requiring dental treatment under general anaesthetic (GA). Cleft care in the UK is focused around 12 regional specialist centres, involving the input of multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), including paediatric dentists.
