Cabozantinib associated medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw following a non-surgical extraction; despite a 28-day structured treatment interruption of cabozantinib: a case report
Abstract
Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is a serious dental condition that can lead to a reduced quality of life. Several medications have been implicated in MRONJ, and the list of medications continues to increase. This case report details the development of MRONJ in a patient receiving palliative care for recurrent renal cell carcinoma with cabozantinib following dental extraction.
