EADPH Website and Special Interest Groups
http://www.dundee.ac.uk/eadph/index.htm Ken Eaton has asked me to invite anyone with special interests to get in touch with him The idea behind the groups is to establish links between interested parties with a view to making networks of individuals with common interests. One example of an established Special Interest Group is the Epidemiology Group. There is a lot going on within the group, most notably involvement in the European Global Oral Health Indicator Development Project (EGOHID II). I have been working on Work Package 7 of EGOHID II which is the Clinical Indicators element of the project. There are 15 agreed clinical indicators from Phase I and we are now developing a “full standard clinical form” and training to support its use across all 27 countries in order to facilitate collection of comparable information at an EU level. I will keep you informed of progress as we move towards the piloting phase later in the year.
